Case Study #1

We were called to this house to inspect a cracked basement wall. Our inspector found two walls with various cracks. This wall had a large horizontal crack running almost the entire length of the wall, approximately 3 feet from the sub-flooring. A second, smaller step crack had started on the left side, and ran down towards the floor. In addition, the wall was bowing approximately 1”. Four sheets of StablWall were recommended to secure the entire wall.

The wall was prepped by removing the paint where StablWall was to be applied. Next, primer was applied to the prepared surfaces. Crack filler was then used to fill in the cracks & deeper mortar joints. The first coat of epoxy was applied, followed by the sheets of StablWall, and a second & final coat of epoxy. After 48 hours of drying time, this wall is ready to be painted, and will never need to be maintained again.
